The 2nd annual Brad Franchione Football Camp will be held June 24th thru June 27th, 2009.
OBJECTIVE
The camp will be devoted to in-depth instruction geared specifically to individual technique. Our football staff will provide quality instruction in all areas of the game of football. Along with the basic football skills each camper will be professionally trained in the area of weight training and flexibility.
The 2nd annual Brad Franchione Football Camp was established to provide young athletes, between the ages of 12-18, the opportunity to develop their fundamental football skills in a well-supervised, organized and enthusiastic environment.
The Brad Franchione Football Camp offers two choices, overnight camp and day camp featuring instruction in all football positions. The overnight camp will provide 24 hour supervision and all meals. The day camp begins at breakfast 8:00am and will end at 9:00pm each night as all meals will be provided.
INSTRUCTION
Our experienced staff will emphasize fundamentals, form and technique as our youth program is NON CONTACT. Helmets only! No pads will be worn and no scrimmages will take place. Campers will be grouped according to age in order to compete against athletes of similar talent and experience.
At the end of our camp, each camper's skills and knowledge will greatly improve, giving him/her an exciting opportunity to contribute to their team's success in the fall. The specialized format of this camp will emphasize fundamentals during the AM session then create competition in the PM during our 7on7 contests. Special teams, kicking, punting and deep snapping will be taught between the AM & PM sessions. Our camper to coach ratio is kept at 10-1 so that each camper will receive extensive 1-on-1 instruction at the offensive and defensive positions of their choice.
FACILITIES
Blinn College includes 2 football fields & and field house with meeting rooms for lectures. Lectures will take place at the practice field or stadium. Located on the Blinn College, Brenham Campus @ 902 College Avenue, Brenham, TX 77833.
MEALS
Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner will be provided by Blinn College Cafeteria (all you can eat) and some meals provided by Big Daddy’s Barbecue. During all breaks there will be snacks available along with sport nutrition drinks at the camp store.
ELIGIBILITY
Camp is for athletes ages 12-18, as determined by player's age on August 1, 2008.
HOURS of OPERATION
The camp will operate each day between the hours of 8AM & 9:30PM except for the FINAL DAY when the pick up will begin immediately after practice at 11:00am. Camp staff will be available for early drop off at 7:30 A.M. and late pick up until 10:00P.M.
Final Day of Camp
Family and friends are invited to view final football camp workouts. Practice will begin at 9:00am on Saturday, June 27th. Check out at the dorm will begin immediately after the last workout session. As soon as each camper is cleared by camp officials, you are free to leave.
